Argyles Woodworking is a small San Francisco Bay Area wood working company owned by Roger and Adrienne Giles. Roger does the woodworking and his wife Adrienne acts as design consultant. Argyles specializes in creating small tables embellished with ceramic tile or stone. Argyles Woodworking Projects have been shown in galleries, art exhibits and shows. Our designs have also been published in woodworking magazines. Each year around the holidays Roger makes the "gift of the year" for friends and family. The demand for these items has grown and people request them to give as birthday, house-warming, wedding, and Anniversary gifts. From this demand has developed the Art and Wine Show portion of Argyles Woodworking. Some of these items are carried by local Boutiques and Napa Valley Winery Gift Shops. The items on this web site are an offshoot of the Art Show Business. Our gifts can now be found in homes around the United States and in several foreign countries.

Example of Work

Our products are meant to be used, in addition to being decorative. All wood surfaces on our products have been finished with at least three coats of hand rubbed polyurethane unless otherwise specified. The design on each ceramic tile has been kiln fired into the ceramic for durability. Ceramic tiles should not be used as cutting boards Cheese cutting boards have been treated with mineral oil and should be retreated monthly. Vegetable oils should not be used to condition as it turns rancid.
